Love for God and Neighbor​—How to Get Am

(Mt 22:37-39) Dem no born us with this kind love. We must work hard to get am. But how we go take get am? One way na to dey read Bible every day. When we read about the different different better character wey Jehovah get, we go understand how e good reach. (Ps 27:4) This one go make our love for God grow, and we go dey think like am. This one go come move us to dey obey all im commandment. We go come dey do everything wey we fit do to use all our heart love other people. (Joh 13:34, 35; 1Jo 5:3) See three things wey go help you enjoy your Bible reading:

• Dey think about wetin you dey read like sey you dey there when e happen. Just imagine sey you dey there. Wetin you go see, hear, and smell? How the people wey you dey read about dey feel?

  

• Change the style wey you dey use. See somethings wey you fit do: Read loud, or play the record of the Bible chapter, and read follow am. Instead of to dey read Bible chapter by chapter until you finish am, you fit read about one particular person or topic for Bible. For example, you fit use Appendix A7-A, A7-B, A7-C, A7-D, A7-E, A7-F, A7-G, A7-H, or B12-A and B12-B for New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures to read about Jesus Christ. Read the whole chapter where dem take the verse for the daily text from. Read the whole Bible according to the year or time wey dem write am.

  

• Read to understand. E better to read one chapter every day, understand am well, and think about how you go take use am for your life; instead of to rush read many chapter just to finish the whole Bible quick. Think about where dem write am. Understand everything wey the verse dey talk about. Use different different map and the references wey dey the middle of all the page for inside Bible. Do research to understand something wey you no understand. If you fit, make you still use the same amount of time wey you use read, to think about wetin you read.
