“Honor Your Papa and Your Mama”

When Jesus dey this earth, e talk about this command wey sey: “Honor your papa and mama.” (Ex 20:12; Mt 15:4) Jesus fit give this advice because when e dey young, “e no stop to dey respect” im papa and mama. (Lu 2:51, ftn.) Even before e die, e arrange make one of im disciple take care of im mama.​—Joh 19:26, 27.

Today, young people wey dey serve Jehovah dey show sey dem honor their papa and mama, when dem dey obey dem and talk to dem with respect. This command no get time wey e go expire. Even when our papa and mama don old, make we still dey listen to dem. This one go show sey we dey honor dem, and na we go gain. (Pr 23:22) We go still show sey we dey honor our papa and mama, if we dey spend time with dem, and dey give dem wetin dem need to take care of theirself. (1Ti 5:8) Whether we still small or we don grow, we go show sey we dey honor our papa and our mama when we dey talk to dem well.
