11 I, for my part, baptize you with water because of your repentance,+ but the one coming after me is stronger than I am, whose sandals I am not worthy to take off.+ That one will baptize you with holy spirit+ and with fire.+ 12 His winnowing shovel is in his hand, and he will clean up his threshing floor completely and will gather his wheat into the storehouse, but the chaff he will burn up with fire+ that cannot be put out.”

7 And he was preaching: “Someone stronger than I am is coming after me, the lace of whose sandals I am not worthy to stoop down and untie.+ 8 I baptized you with water, but he will baptize you with holy spirit.”+

2 Now while the day of the Festival of Pentecost+ was in progress, they were all together at the same place.

4 and they all became filled with holy spirit+ and started to speak in different languages,* just as the spirit enabled them to speak.+
