The Second Book of Chronicles

2 Sol′o·mon come talk say make them build house for Jehovah name and make them build house* for im kingdom. 2 Sol′o·mon gather 70,000 men to work as ordinary laborers,* 80,000 men wey de cut stones for mountains, and 3,600 overseers to direct them. 3 Another thing be say, Sol′o·mon send message to Hi′ram wey be king of Tyre say: “The same thing wey you do for my papa David when you send cedarwood to-am make e build house* wey e go stay, do-am for me too. 4 Now, I de build house for the name of Jehovah my God, to make the house dey holy to-am, to burn perfume incense for im front and to still make the layer bread* dey there all the time, and the offerings wey them de burn for morning and evening, for Sabbath days, for new moons, and when them de do festivals to Jehovah our God. This na wetin Israel people go de do. 5 The house wey I de build go big, because our God big pass all other gods. 6 And who really qualify to build house for-am? Because the heavens, even the heaven of heavens no fit contain-am, so who I be wey I fit build house for-am? The only thing wey I fit do na to build place wey them go de make sacrifice smoke for im front. 7 Now send me person wey sabi use hand make things, wey know how to make things with gold, silver, copper, iron, purple wool, dark red thread, and blue thread, and wey know how to carve drawings put for something body. E go work for Judah and Jerusalem with my people wey sabi use hand make things, wey David my papa don arrange. 8 And make you send timbers of cedar, juniper, and algum from Leb′a·non come give me, because I really know say your servants really sabi how to cut trees for Leb′a·non. My servants go work with your servants 9 to arrange plenty-plenty timbers for me, because the house wey I want build go big and fine well-well. 10 See! I go give your servants wey de cut woods, wey be say na them go cut down the trees, food wey them go chop. The food wey I go give them na: 20,000 cors* of wheat, 20,000 cors of barley, 20,000 baths* of wine, and 20,000 baths of oil.”

11 When Hi′ram wey be king of Tyre hear this one, e write this message to Sol′o·mon say: “Because say Jehovah love im people, e don make you their king.” 12 Then Hi′ram talk say: “Make them praise Jehovah the God of Israel, wey make the heavens and the earth, because e don give King David pikin wey get sense, wey de look matter well, and de understand things well, wey go build house for Jehovah, and wey go build house for im kingdom. 13 Now I de send Hi′ram-a′bi, wey really sabi use hand make things, wey de understand things well, 14 and wey be the son of one woman wey come from the tribe of Dan, but im papa na Tyre person, e really sabi how to make things with gold, silver, copper, iron, stones, timbers, purple wool, blue thread, better cloth material, and dark red thread. E fit carve any design ontop the body of something and e fit make any design wey them tell-am. E go work with your own people wey really sabi use hand make things, and the people wey really sabi use hand make things wey my lord David wey be your papa get. 15 Now make my lord send the wheat, barley, oil, and the wine wey e promise im servants. 16 And we go cut trees from Leb′a·non, wey go plenty reach the amount wey you need, and we go tie them together float them ontop sea come meet you for Jop′pa; then you go carry them from there go Jerusalem.”

17 Then Sol′o·mon count all the men wey be strangers wey de live for the land of Israel after David im papa be don count the people, and them plenty reach 153,600. 18 So e give 70,000 of them work as ordinary laborers,* 80,000 of them as people wey go de cut stones for mountains, and 3,600 as overseers wey go de direct the people for the work.
