Exodus
4 But Moses answer say: “What if them no believe me and them no listen to me, because them go talk say, ‘Jehovah no appear to you.’” 2 Then Jehovah ask-am say: “Wetin be that thing for your hand?” E answer say: “Na stick.” 3 God talk say: “Throw-am for ground.” So Moses throw-am for ground, and e turn to snake. E come run comot from where the snake dey. 4 Jehovah come tell Moses say: “Stretch your hand and hold-am for tail.” So e stretch im hand and hold-am and the snake turn to stick for im hand. 5 Then God talk say: “This one na proof wey go make them believe say Jehovah the God of their papa-papa them, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob don appear to you.”
6 Jehovah still talk to-am again say: “Abeg, put your hand for inside the up side of your cloth.” So e put im hand inside im cloth. When e bring-am come out, see, im hand don get leprosy and white like snow! 7 Then e talk say: “Put your hand back for inside the up side of your cloth.” So e put im hand back for inside im cloth. When e bring-am come out of the cloth, im hand change back to how e be before, like the other parts of im body! 8 E talk say: “If them no go believe you or put their mind for the first sign, then them go surely accept the next sign. 9 And even if them no go believe this two signs and no gree listen to you, make you take water from River Nile and pour-am for dry land, and the water wey you take from River Nile go turn to blood for the dry land.”
10 Moses come tell Jehovah say: “Abeg Jehovah, make you no vex for me, but I no sabi talk well before now and since the time wey you don talk to your servant, because I de talk slow-slow* and the way I de talk no clear.”* 11 Jehovah tell-am say: “Who make mouth for humans? Or who get the power to make them no fit talk,* to make them deaf, to make them de see well, or to make them blind? No be me, Jehovah? 12 So go now, and I go dey with you as you de talk,* and I go teach you wetin you go talk.” 13 But e talk say: “Jehovah no vex for me, abeg send anybody wey you want send.” 14 Then Jehovah vex for Moses, and e talk say: “What about your brother Aaron wey be Levite? I know say e really sabi talk well, and now, e de come here come meet you. When e see you, e* go happy well-well. 15 So you go talk to-am and tell-am wetin e go talk,* and I go dey with you and dey with-am as una de talk, and I go teach una wetin to do. 16 E go talk to the people for you, and you go be like God for-am.* 17 And you go hold this stick for your hand and use-am do the signs.”
18 So Moses go back to Jeth′ro im father-in-law and tell-am say: “Abeg, I want go back go meet my brothers wey dey Egypt to see whether them still dey alive.” Jeth′ro tell Moses say: “Make you go well.” 19 After that one, Jehovah tell Moses for Mid′i·an say: “Go, go back to Egypt, because all the men wey de try to kill you* don die.”
20 Then Moses take im wife and im sons and put them ontop donkey, and e start to go back to the land of Egypt. Apart from that one, Moses hold the stick of the true God for im hand. 21 Then Jehovah tell Moses say: “After you don go back to Egypt, make sure say you do all the miracles wey I don give you power to do for front of Phar′aoh. But I go allow im heart to strong like stone, and e no go allow the people go. 22 You must tell Phar′aoh say, ‘This one na wetin Jehovah talk: “Israel na my son, my firstborn. 23 I de tell you say, Allow my son go, so that e fit serve me. But if you no gree allow-am go, I go kill your son, your firstborn.”’”
24 Now for one place wey person fit rest for the road, Jehovah meet-am and e be want kill-am. 25 At last, Zip·po′rah take one sharp stone* and circumcise im son, and make the flesh wey e cut* to touch im leg and talk say: “With this blood I accept say you be my husband.”* 26 So E allow-am go. Na that time Zip·po′rah talk say, “with this blood I accept say you be my husband,” because of im son wey e circumcise.*
27 Then Jehovah tell Aaron say: “Go the wilderness go meet Moses.” So e go, and meet-am for the mountain of the true God, and e use kiss greet-am. 28 And Moses tell Aaron all the things wey Jehovah talk, the Person wey send-am, and all the signs wey E don command-am to do. 29 After that one, Moses and Aaron comot, and gather all the elders of Israel people. 30 Aaron tell them all the things wey Jehovah don tell Moses, and e do the signs for the people to see. 31 With this one, the people believe. When them hear say Jehovah don remember Israel people and say e don see their suffer, them bow down and lie down for ground.
