20 For the first month, all Israel people come wilderness of Zin, and the people start to live for Ka′desh. Na there Mir′i·am die and them bury-am.

2 Now water no dey for the people, and them gather together against Moses and Aaron. 3 The people de quarrel with Moses and de talk say: “E for better if to say we don die when our brothers die for front of Jehovah! 4 Why una bring Jehovah people* come inside this wilderness for us and our animals to die here? 5 And why una carry us comot from Egypt to bring us inside this evil place? No be place wey seed, figs, vines, and pomegranates* fit grow, and water no dey to drink.” 6 Then Moses and Aaron comot from front of the people* and go the domot of the tent of meeting and lie down face ground, and the glory of Jehovah start to appear to them.

7 Then Jehovah tell Moses say: 8 “Take the stick and call the people together, you and Aaron your brother, and talk to the rock for their front so that the rock go bring im water, and you go bring water come out for them from the rock and give the people and their animals something to drink.”

9 So Moses take the stick for front of Jehovah, just as E don command-am. 10 Then Moses and Aaron call the people* together for front of the rock, and e tell them say: “Stubborn people, make una hear now! Na must say we go bring water come out from this rock for una?” 11 Then Moses carry im hand go up and nack the rock two times with im stick and plenty water start to pour come out, and the people and their animals start to drink.

12 After, Jehovah tell Moses and Aaron say: “Because una no show say una get faith for me and make me dey holy for front of Israel people, una no go bring this people* come inside the land wey I go give them.” 13 This one na the water* wey dey Mer′i·bah,* where Israel people quarrel with Jehovah sotey e make imself dey holy among them.

14 Then Moses send messengers from Ka′desh go meet the king of E′dom say: “This na wetin your brother Israel talk say, ‘You really know all the suffer wey we don suffer. 15 Our papa them go Egypt, and we live for Egypt for many years, and Egypt people suffer us and our papa them. 16 At last, we cry to Jehovah and e hear us and send one angel and bring us come out of Egypt, and now we dey here for Ka′desh, one city wey share boundary with your territory. 17 Abeg, allow us pass inside your land. We no go pass through any farm or vine farm, and we no go go drink water from any well. We go waka pass the King Road and we no go turn right or left until we don pass your territory.’”

18 But, E′dom tell-am say: “You no fit pass through our territory. If you try-am, I go come out with sword to meet you.” 19 Then Israel people tell-am say: “Na road we go pass go up, and if we and our animals drink your water, we go pay for-am. We no want any other thing apart from to use our leg waka pass.” 20 E still talk say: “You no fit pass.” So E′dom come out with plenty people and strong army* to attack Israel. 21 So E′dom no gree allow Israel pass through im territory. Because of this one, Israel turn comot from E′dom.

22 The people of Israel, all the people, comot from Ka′desh and reach Mount Hor. 23 Then Jehovah tell Moses and Aaron for Mount Hor for the boundary of the land of E′dom say: 24 “Them go bury Aaron just as them bury im people. E no go enter the land wey I go give Israel people, because the two of una turn against my command wey concern the water wey dey Mer′i·bah. 25 Take Aaron and im son El·e·a′zar and bring them come up for Mount Hor. 26 Remove Aaron cloths and wear them for El·e·a′zar im son, and Aaron go die for there.”

27 So Moses do just as Jehovah don command, and them climb Mount Hor for front of all the people. 28 Then Moses remove Aaron cloths and wear them for El·e·a′zar im son. After that one, Aaron die there for ontop of the mountain. And Moses and El·e·a′zar come down from the mountain. 29 When all the people see say Aaron don die, all Israel people cry for Aaron for 30 days.
