Kakade ke, umntu ohlaselayo unobuchule bokuhlasela kuqala kunexhoba.
UYesu akazange akuvume ukuzikhusela ngezixhobo. Kuyinyaniso ukuba wayalela abapostile bakhe ukuba baphathe amakrele amabini ukuya kwisitiya saseGetsemane, indawo apho awayeza kubanjelwa khona. Kodwa kwakutheni ukuze ayalele oku? Ukuba nezixhobo, baze bangazisebenzisi, kwabonisa ngamandla ukuba abalandeli bakaYesu babengafanele babhenele kwizixhobo zokwenyama. Kubalulekile ukwazi ukuba ngokusuka abe nesixhobo esikufuphi, uPetros ngokungxama wasisebenzisa. UYesu wamkhalimela ngesi senzo sokutyhuthuzela ngala mazwi: “Bonke abathabatha ikrele baya kutshabalala likrele.”—Mateyu 26:36 47-56; Luka 22:36-38, 49-51.
Omnye usenokuthi, ‘Oku kusebenza xa unemipu. Kunokuba abonakalise umsindo wakhe, umKristu ukholose ngokupheleleyo ngoThixo, othi ngabantu bakhe: “Onichukumisayo uchukumisa ukhozo lweliso [“lam,” NW].” Ngokuvisisana noku, uThixo uthembisa ‘ukubatshabalalisa bonke abangendawo’ kungekudala.—Zekariya 2:8; INdumiso 145:20.

Ngaloo ndlela, iBhayibhile ayizixhasi iinzame zokungxama ngokuzikhusela. Phofu ke, ibonakalisa nokungakuxhasi ukuziyekelela ukuze ube lixhoba, iBhayibhile ibonisa ukuba likhona ixesha lokuzikhusela. AmaKristu anokukuphepha ukuhlaselwa kwawo ngamandla emzimbeni, kwiintsapho zawo, okanye kwabanye abayifuna ngokwenene inkuselo.b Kodwa awanakuqala ahlasele, ngokwawo, engenakuzikhusela ngokwenzakalisa ngokwasemzimbeni ukusindisa izinto zawo. Awanakuphatha izixhobo elindele ukuhlasela okunjalo; kunoko enza iinzame “zokuhlala eseluxolweni.”—2 Korinte 13:11, NW.
