10 IBhabhiloni yamandulo yayiphezu kwamanzi amaninzi—uMlambo umEfrate nemijelo eliqela. La manzi ayeyikhusele yaye ekwayimithombo yorhwebo eyayivelisa ubutyebi, de atsha ngabusuku bunye. 11 Ngokungakumbi, iBhabhiloni yakudala yachazwa ‘njengendebe yegolide esandleni sikaYehova, isenza wonke umhlaba unxile.’ (Yeremiya 51:7) UYehova wasebenzisa iBhabhiloni yamandulo ekukhupheleni umsindo wakhe kumazwe angabamelwane bayo, ngaloo ndlela iwenza abe buthathaka njengabantu abanxilileyo. 14 Kutheni uYohane esisiwa entlango nje? Isibhengezo sangaphambilana sokubhujiswa kweBhabhiloni yamandulo sachazwa ‘njengesinxamnye nentlango yaselwandle.’ (Isaya 21:1, 9) Oku kwanikela isilumkiso esifanelekileyo sokuba, phezu kwako nje konke ukukhuselwa kwayo ngamanzi, iBhabhiloni yamandulo yayiza kuphanza kungabikho nto iphilayo kuyo.
