UmSamariya Onobuhlobo
KUSENOKWENZEKA ukuba uYesu ungaseBhetani, idolophana emalunga neekhilomitha ezintathu ukusuka eYerusalem. Indoda eyingcali kuMthetho kaMoses isondela kuye imbuza, isithi: “Mfundisi, ndenze ntoni na ukuze ndibudle ilifa ubomi obungunaphakade?”
UYesu uyaqonda ukuba le ndoda, ingumqondisi-mthetho, ayibuzeli nje ukwazi, kodwa, kunoko, inqwenela nje ukumlinga. Injongo yomqondisi-mthetho isenokuba kukufuna ukuba uYesu aphendule ngendlela eza kuwacaphukisa amaYuda. Ngoko uYesu ufuna ukuba umqondisi-mthetho azibophelele ngokwakhe, ngokumbuza esithi: “Emthethweni kubhalwe ntoni na? Ulesa njani na?”
Ekuphenduleni, lo mqondisi-mthetho usebenzisa ukuqonda okungaqhelekanga, ecaphula kwimithetho kaThixo ekwiDuteronomi 6:5 nakwiLevitikus 19:18, esithi: “Uze uyithande iNkosi uThixo wakho ngentliziyo yakho iphela, nangomphefumlo wakho uphela, nangamandla akho ephela, nangengqondo yakho iphela; nommelwane wakho, njengoko uzithanda ngako.”
UYesu uphendula esithi: “Uphendule walungisa; yenza oko, wobudla ubomi.”
Noko ke, umqondisi-mthetho akanelisekanga. Impendulo kaYesu ayinikeli nto ingqalileyo amakayenze. Ufuna isiqinisekiso esivela kuYesu sokuba iimbono zakhe zichanile yaye ngenxa yoko wenza kakuhle kuzo zonke iinkqubano zakhe nabanye. Ngoko ke, uyabuza: “Ngubani na ongummelwane wam?”
AmaYuda akholelwa kwelokuba igama elithi “mmelwane” lisebenza kuphela kumaYuda angoowabo, njengoko umongo weLevitikus 19:18 ubonakala ngathi ubonisa oko. Enyanisweni, kamva nompostile uPetros wathi: “Niyazi kakuhle nina, ukuba akusesikweni ukuthi indoda engumYuda inamathele isondele kowolunye uhlanga.” Ngoko umqondisi-mthetho, yaye mhlawumbi nabafundi bakaYesu, bakholelwa ekubeni bangamalungisa ukuba baphatha kakuhle kuphela amaYuda angoowabo, ekubeni, ngokwembono yabo, abangemaYuda bengengobamelwane babo ngokwenene.
Ngaphandle kokubacaphukisa abaphulaphuli bakhe, uYesu unokuyilungisa njani imbono yabo? Ubalisa ibali, ekunokwenzeka ukuba lisekelwe kwinto eyayenzeke ngokwenene. UYesu uyabalisa: “[UmYuda] othile wayesihla evela eYerusalem, esiya eYeriko. Wagaxeleka ezihangeni, ezambhunyula iingubo, zamngxwelerha, zemka, zimshiya engathi uza kufa.”
UYesu uqhubeka esithi: “Ke kaloku kwathi, kwehla mbingeleli uthile ngaloo ndlela; akumbona, wacezela phaya. Kwangokunjalo ke nomLevi, akufika kuloo ndawo, weza wambona, wacezela phaya. Uthe ke umSamariya othile, eseluhambeni, waya kuye; wathi, aku-mbona, wasikwa yimfesane.”
Ababingeleli abaninzi nabantu abangabaLevi ababancedisayo etempileni bahlala eYeriko, ekumgama oziikhilomitha ezingama-23, kwindlela eyingozi neyehla kangangama-900 eemitha ukusuka apho basebenza khona etempileni eYerusalem. Bekuya kulindeleka ukuba umbingeleli nomLevi bamncede umYuda onguwabo osengxakini. Kodwa abamncedi. Endaweni yoko, uncedwa ngumSamariya. AmaYuda awathiyile amaSamariya kangangokuba kutshanje athuke uYesu ngamazwi abukhali ngokumbiza ngokuba ‘ngumSamariya.’
Wenza ntoni umSamariya ukunceda umYuda? UYesu uthi: “Wafika, wawabopha amanxeba akhe, egalela ioli newayini, wamkhwelisa eqegwini lakhe, wamsa endlwini yabahambi, wamonga. Akumka ngengomso, warhola iidenariyo zambini [ezimalunga nomvuzo weentsuku ezimbini] wanika umninindlu, wathi kuye. Uze umonge; nento ongathi ubuye udleke yona, ndokuhlawulela mna ekubuyeni kwam.”
Emva kokubalisa eli bali, uYesu ubuza umqondisi-mthetho oku: “Nguwuphi na kwabo bathathu ngoko, othi wena, waba ngummelwane walowo wagaxeleka ezihangeni?”
Eziva engakhululekanga ukuba ancome umSamariya, umqondisi-mthetho uphendula ngokulula esithi: “Ngulowo wamenzela inceba.”
UYesu uqukumbela ngelithi: “Hamba, uye kwenjenjalo nawe.”
Ukuba uYesu wayemxelele ngokungqalileyo umqondisi-mthetho ukuba abangemaYuda nabo babengabamelwane bakhe, le ndoda ngeyayingazange iphelele nje ekubeni ingakwamkeli oko kodwa mhlawumbi abaninzi kubaphulaphuli ngebabekwicala layo kwingxubusho yayo noYesu. Noko ke, eli bali lobomi bokwenene, lenza kwacaca ngendlela engenakuphikiswa ukuba abamelwane bethu baquka abantu bonke abangakumbi kunabohlanga nabesizwe sethu. ▪ AmaYuda akholelwa ukuba ngoobani abangabamelwane bawo yaye sisiphi isizathu esikhoyo esenza ukuba sikholelwe ekubeni kwanabafundi babenale mbono?
▪ UYesu wayidlulisela njani imbono echanileyo ukuze umqondisi-mthetho angabi nako ukuyikhanyela?
