Imikhosi KaKhisimusi NoNcibijane Endulo

Uprofesa ube eseqhubeka echaza ukumiswa kosuku lukaKhisimusi:
“Isiko lamaRoma lokugubha uDecember 25 lachuma kuphela ngemva kwekhulu lesine leminyaka. Ngaleyondlela kwaba lula ukwenza iholide elidumile leLanga Elinganqotshiwe libe elobuKristu.
“Naphezu kokuwa kombuso wayo, iRoma kancane kancane kodwa ngesineke yaphoqelela kuqala impucuko yaseNtshonalanga futhi ekugcineni umhlaba wonke ukuba wamukele inqubo nentando yayo mayelana nazo zombili izinsuku zonyaka. Nokho, ukuthathwa kukaJanuary 1 njengosuku lokuqala konyaka omusha kwasho ukuphumelela kwesiko lemigidi, imibungazo, amadili, ukuphana ngezipho, nezilokotho, futhi lokhu kwenziwa naphezu kokwenqaba kwamaKristu asendulo.”
Ngemva kokuba eseqinisekisile ukuthi imikhosi kaNcibijane inomsuka wobuqaba, uProfesa Krawczuk uzizwa kanjani ngokuhlanganyela kwamaKristu kulemicimbi? Isifiso sakhe siqu ngamaKristu:
“Ukuthi [amaKristu] kufanele ngokokuziphatha abe sesimweni sokuphinda amazwi amakholwa akanye nawo asendulo. Lapho amaqaba ewagxeka ethi: ‘Luhlobo luni lwenkolo lolu, olungenawo amathempeli amahle anemifanekiso nezithombe, engenazo izembatho eziyigugu noma izitsha zokukhulekela?’ amaKristu akuqala aphendula: ‘Kuyiqiniso ukuthi simpofu. Kodwa amathempeli ethu ayizinhliziyo ezigcwele uthando ngoNkulunkulu nomakhelwane; izembatho zethu zokukhulekela ziyisizotha, ukukhuthala, ukuthobeka nokuzithoba; futhi izitsha ziyizenzo zethu ezinhle.’”
