▪ Purim—UMkhosi Wezinkatho. Ugujwa ngasekupheleni kukaFebruary noma ekuqaleni kukaMarch, ekukhumbuleni ukukhululwa kwamaJuda ePheresiya phakathi nekhulu lesihlanu leminyaka B.C.E. kuHamani nozungu lwakhe lokubulala isizwe.—Esteri 9:20-28.

▪ Pesach—UMkhosi WePhasika. Wamiswa ukuze kukhunjulwe ukukhululwa kwamaIsrayeli ekuthunjweni eGibithe (ngo-1513 B.C.E.). Uwumkhosi wamaJuda omkhulu nomdala kunayo yonke. Wenziwa ngoNisan 14 (ngokwekhalenda yamaJuda), ngokuvamile uba sekupheleni kukaMarch noma ekuqaleni kuka-April. Amanye Amasiko ObuJuda

▪ Ukusoka—Okwabafana abangamaJuda, kuwumcimbi obalulekile owenziwa lapho umntwana enezinsuku eziyisishiyagalombili ubudala. Ngokuvamile ubizwa ngokuthi iSivumelwano Sika-Abrahama, njengoba ukusoka kwakuwuphawu lwesivumelwano sikaNkulunkulu naye. Amadoda aphendukela okholweni lobuJuda nawo futhi kumelwe asokwe.—Genesise 17:9-14.

▪ Bar Mitzvah (ngezansi)—Omunye umkhuba onemicikilisho wamaJuda obaluleke kakhulu, lowo ngokwezwi nezwi osho ukuthi “indodana yomyalo,” “igama elichaza kokubili ukufinyelelwa kokuvuthwa okungokwenkolo nokungokomthetho kanye nesikhathi abafana bobudala beminyaka engu-13 nosuku olulodwa okucatshangelwa ukuthi babefinyelela lesosikhundla ngaso ngokomthetho.” Waba isiko lamaJuda kuphela ekhulwini le-15 leminyaka C.E.—Encyclopaedia Judaica.

▪ Mezuzah (ngenhla)—Ngokuvamile kulula ukubona ikhaya lomJuda ngenxa yemezuzah, noma ibhokisi lomqulu, ngakwesokudla sensika yomnyango njengoba umuntu engena. Eqinisweni imezuzah iyisikhumba esincane okulotshwe kuso amazwi acashunwe kuDuteronomi 6:4-9 no–11:13-21. Lesi siyasongwa sifakwe ebhokisaneni elincane. Lelibhokisana bese linanyathiselwa emnyango ngamunye wekamelo elisetshenziswayo.

▪ Yarmulke (isigqoko samadoda esinamathelayo)—Ngokwe-Encyclopaedia Judaica: “AmaJuda obuOrthodox . . . abheka isembozo sekhanda kokubili ngaphakathi nangaphandle kwesinagoge, njengophawu lokwethembeka esikweni lamaJuda.” Ukumboza ikhanda ngesikhathi sokukhulekela akuphawulwanga ndawo kuyiTanakh, ngakho iTalmud iphawula lokhu njengendaba yokuzikhethela yamasiko.
