UMthendeleko NeLobukholwa
Akunzima ukubona ukuthi kungani uMthendeleko ubhekwa njengesimangaliso. Inkathi emqoka kulo mkhosi ifika phakathi nomthandazo woMthendeleko. Ngokuhamba kwesikhathi, kwaqubuka ezinye izimpikiswano mayelana nencazelo yoMthendeleko kanye nendlela nesikhathi okufanele ugcinwe ngaso phakathi kwezinkolo zeLobukholwa. Noma kunjalo, ngandlela-thile lo mkhosi usabaluleke kakhulu kulo lonke eLobukholwa. Kodwa wawunjani umkhosi wokuqala owasungulwa uJesu?
Ukusungulwa “KweSidlo SeNkosi Sakusihlwa”
UJesu uqobo wasungula “isidlo seNkosi sakusihlwa,” noma iSikhumbuzo sokufa kwakhe. (1 Korinte 11:20, 24) Kodwa ingabe waqala isiko eliyimfihlakalo lapho abalandeli bakhe babeyokudla umzimba negazi lakhe ngempela?
UJesu wayesanda kugubha iPhasika lamaJuda futhi waxosha uJuda Iskariyothe, umphostoli owayesezomkhaphela. KuJesu, nakuzo zonke izinceku zikaNkulunkulu, ukuthandazela ukudla kwakuyisibopho. Kusobala-ke ukuthi uJesu wasebenzisa isinkwa newayini njengezifanekiselo. Isinkwa esingenamvubelo sasisho, noma simelela umzimba ongenasono owawuzonikelwa. Iwayini elibomvu lalimelela igazi elaliyothululwa “ngenxa yabaningi ngenjongo yokuthethelelwa kwezono.”—Mathewu 26:28.
Injongo YeSidlo SeNkosi Sakusihlwa
UJesu waphetha umkhosi wokuqala weSidlo SeNkosi Sakusihlwa ngala mazwi: “Qhubekani nikwenza lokhu ningikhumbula.” (Luka 22:19) Ngempela lo mkhosi uyasisiza ukuba sikhumbule uJesu nezinto ezimangalisayo ezafezwa ukufa kwakhe. Usikhumbuza ukuthi uJesu wasekela ubukhosi bukaYise, uJehova. Usikhumbuza nokuthi ngokufa kwakhe njengomuntu ophelele, ongenasono, uJesu ‘wanikela umphefumulo wakhe waba yisihlengo sabaningi.’ Isihlengo sivula ithuba lokuba noma ubani obonisa ukholo emhlatshelweni wakhe akhululwe esonweni futhi azuze ukuphila okuphakade.—Mathewu 20:28.
Nokho, ngokuyinhloko iSidlo SeNkosi Sakusihlwa siyisidlo senhlanganyelo. Abahilelekile (1) nguJehova uNkulunkulu, owalungiselela isihlengo, (2) uJesu Kristu, “iWundlu likaNkulunkulu,” owanikela ngesihlengo kanye (3) nabafowabo bakaJesu abangokomoya. Ngokudla isinkwa newayini, leli qembu lakamuva libonisa ukuthi linobunye ngokuphelele noKristu. (Johane 1:29; 1 Korinte 10:16, 17) Libonisa nokuthi ‘lisesivumelwaneni esisha’ njengabafundi bakaJesu abagcotshwe ngomoya. Laba bayobusa noKristu ezulwini njengamakhosi nabapristi.—Luka 22:20; Johane 14:2, 3; IsAmbulo 5:9, 10.
ISikhumbuzo kufanele senziwe nini? Impendulo iba sobala uma ukhumbula ukuthi uJesu wakhetha usuku olukhethekile lokusungula lo mkhosi—iPhasika. Kwase kuyiminyaka engaphezu kuka-1 500 abantu bakaNkulunkulu bekhumbula lolu suku minyaka yonke, uNisani 14 ekhalendeni labo, ukuze bakhumbule ukusindisa kukaJehova abantu bakhe ngokuphawulekayo. Ngokusobala, uJesu wayeyala abalandeli bakhe ukuba basebenzise usuku olufanayo ukuze bakhumbule isenzo esikhulu sensindiso uNkulunkulu ayezosenza ngokufa kukaKristu. Ngakho, abalandeli bakaJesu beqiniso baba khona eSidlweni SeNkosi Sakusihlwa minyaka yonke ngosuku oluqondana noNisani 14 ekhalendeni lesiHebheru.
Ingabe lokhu bakwenza ngoba bethanda isiko? Empeleni, yilokho okukhanga abantu abaningi ngokugcina uMthendeleko. Umlobi wendaba eshiwo ngenhla kumagazini i-Time wathi: “Kunokuthile okududuza ngokujulile ngokuhlanganyela emikhosini yasendulo egcinwa abaningi kangaka.” NjengamaKatolika amaningi namuhla, lo mlobi uyathanda ukuba lo mkhosi uqhutshwe ngesiLatini njengoba kwakwenziwa kudala. Ngani? Uyabhala: “Ngifuna ukuzwa ingoma yeMisa ihlatshelelwa ngolimi engingaluqondi ngoba ngokuvamile angikuthandi engikuzwayo uma lihlatshelelwa ngesiNgisi.”
OFakazi BakaJehova, kanye nezigidi zabantu abathakazelayo, bayakujabulela ukugcina iSidlo SeNkosi Sakusihlwa ngolimi lwabo nomaphi lapho behlala khona. Bayakujabulela ukuthuthukisa indlela abakuqonda ngayo okushiwo ukufa kukaKristu nokubaluleka kwako. Amaqiniso anjalo akufanelekele ukucatshangelwa nokudingidwa unyaka wonke. OFakazi bathola ukuthi ukukhumbula iSikhumbuzo kuyindlela engcono kakhulu yokuqhubeka bekhumbula uthando olukhulu lukaJehova uNkulunkulu neNdodana yakhe, uJesu Kristu. Kubasiza ukuba ‘baqhubeke bememezela ukufa kweNkosi, ize ifike.’—1 Korinte 11:26.
