Psalm 40:8 talk how Jesus like God law reach. E sey: ‘O my God, na to do wetin you want na im I want, and your law dey inside my heart.’ Wetin Jesus talk and the things wey e do when e dey this earth, show sey God Law no get comma at all. ² But the people wey dem dey call scribe and Pharisee turn God Law upside down, and dem dey make people think sey e no make sense. When Jesus see all this one, e pain am well well! I no be like people wey dey use wayo collect people things or people wey dey do bad things. I no be like people wey don marry wey dey sleep with another person or even like this tax collector.’ But the tax collector dey pray for imself make God pity am. ¹⁰ Scribe and Pharisee people no be like Jehovah wey value people life. We know because of wetin Jesus tell dem. E sey: ‘Una hide the key wey go make people know God. Una no gree enter and una no let other people enter!’ (Luke 11:52) Wetin Jesus mean? E mean sey dem suppose to dey help people understand God Word and get life wey no go end. But no be wetin dem do be that. Dem no want make people follow Jesus, the ‘Person wey God choose to give us life.’ (Acts 3:15) So how dem go take get life? This scribe and Pharisee people dey carry shoulder and dey only think about theirself. Dem no see people life as anything. E clear sey dem really wicked and dem no sabi pity person!

¹¹ How we go take copy Jehovah example so that we no go be like the scribe and Pharisee people? Value life because na gift from Jehovah. Apostle Paul preach well well to show sey e value life. Na im make am fit talk sey im ‘hand clean’ from people blood. (Read Acts 20:26, 27.) But Paul no preach just because e no want make people blood dey im head, or because Jehovah want make e preach. E preach because e love people and e value their life. (1 Cor. 9:19-23) So make we self value people life like Jehovah. Jehovah ‘want make everybody repent.’ (2 Pet. 3:9) What of you? If you really dey pity for people, e go help you put body for the preaching work. And this one go make you dey happy more more.

12. Why Jehovah people no dey play with life?

¹² To show sey we value life like Jehovah, we no go do anything wey fit put person life for danger. This one mean sey we go dey drive and work well. Make we put this one for mind when we dey build or maintain house, or when we dey drive go Kingdom Hall or assembly. No put person life for danger because of hurry hurry or money. E good make we be like Jehovah wey dey always do the correct thing. Elders need to make sure sey their life or the life of people wey dey work with dem, no dey for danger. (Prov. 22:3) So if the way you dey work fit put person life for danger, and elder correct you, listen to am. (Gal. 6:1) If you value life like Jehovah, ‘nobody blood go dey your head.’

13, 14. How elders for Israel go take judge matter well like Jehovah?

¹³ Jehovah tell the elders for Israel make dem dey judge matter well like am. So if person kill person, the elders go first know everything wey really happen. 15. How Jesus take different from Pharisee people?

¹⁵ Pharisee people dey only put eye for the bad thing wey person do. Dem no want know who the person really be for inside. When dem see Jesus dey chop for Matthew house, dem ask im disciples sey: ‘Why una teacher dey chop with people wey dey collect tax and people wey dey sin?’ Jesus come answer dem sey: ‘People wey well no need doctor, na people wey dey sick need doctor. Make una go learn wetin this thing mean: “I no need sacrifice. I want make una dey pity people.” Na people wey dey sin I come call, no be people wey dey do good.’ (Matt. 9:9-13) This one mean sey Jesus dey cover for bad people? No! Jesus want make dem change. This one na even one of the main message wey e preach about. (Matt. 4:17) Jesus see sey some of this people wey dey do bad ready to change. All this people no come Matthew house just because of food. Instead, dem dey among the plenty people wey dey follow Jesus. (Mark 2:15) Many of those Pharisee people no dey see other people like Jesus. Dem dey talk sey dem dey serve God, but dem no dey judge matter well or pity people like God. Instead, dem dey look other people as sinner wey no get hope.

16. Wetin elders wey dey judge matter dey try to know?

¹⁶ Elders today need to dey do like Jehovah wey dey judge matter well. (Ps. 37:28) The first thing na for dem to ‘do everything to know wetin really happen.’ If dem see sey wetin the person do no good, dem go use wetin dey Bible handle the matter. (Deut. 13:12-14) The elders wey go judge the matter need to find out if wetin the person do really pain am. E no always easy to know. But how the person feel about wetin e do, and wetin dey im mind go help the elders know. (Rev. 3:3) For dem to pity for the person, dem need to see sey wetin the person do really pain am and e ready to change.a

¹⁷ Elders no be like Jehovah and Jesus wey dey fit see wetin dey person mind. If you be elder, how you go take know person wey no really happy for wetin e do and wey ready to change? The first thing wey you go do na to pray make Jehovah give you sense and help you understand the matter. (1 Ki. 3:9) Another thing wey you go do na to check Bible and our book dem. This one go help you know person wey ready to change and person wey dey pretend. (2 Cor. 7:10, 11) Check wetin Bible talk about people wey repent and people wey no repent. Find out how dem see wetin dem do, wetin dey their mind, and how dem behave.

¹⁸ The other thing wey you go do na to think about the person. No only put eye for the bad thing wey e do. Ask yourself sey: Why this person be like this? Wetin make am do this kind thing? Wetin be some of the things wey e dey face? Na Jesus be the head of congregation and Bible tell us sey ‘no be wetin im eye see e go take judge.’ And e no go ‘correct person with only wetin e hear. E no go do partial when e dey judge common people,’ and e go do wetin go favor better people. (Isa. 11:3, 4) Na Jesus put you as elder to take care of the congregation. And e go help you know how to pity for people and judge matter well like am. (Matt. 18:18-20) We happy sey we get better elders wey dey take care of us. And we like as dem dey pity people and dey judge matter well!

19. Wetin you don learn from the city wey Jehovah tell Israel people to build, and how you plan to use am?

¹⁹ The Law wey Jehovah give Israel people dey help us know the kind person wey Jehovah be. E still dey help us know the things wey Jehovah want make we dey do. (Rom. 2:20) For example, the city wey Jehovah tell Israel people make dem build dey help elders know how to ‘judge matter well.’ And e teach all of us how to ‘use love do things with each other and dey pity for each other.’ (Zech. 7:9) Na true sey we no dey follow the Law wey Jehovah give Israel people again.
