The Good Thing Wey One Sister Do

E DON reach 60 years now wey John papa baptize as Jehovah Witness. Na one small town for Gujarat wey dey India e baptize. Na Catholic church, im wife and six children dey go. And dem no like as their papa be Jehovah Witness.

One day, John papa send John make e carry one envelope go give one brother for im congregation. That morning, as John dey try open one big iron drum, e cut im hand and blood come dey rush. But, because e want do wetin im papa tell am, e use cloth tie the hand come go where im papa send am.

When John reach the brother house, na the brother wife e see. The wife too na Jehovah Witness. As the sister want collect the envelope from John, e come see the wound. The sister pity for John come tell am sey e go treat the wound. E bring im medicine container come out, clean the wound, rub am medicine, come bandage am. After, e come make hot tea for John. But as the sister dey do all this things, e sofri dey tell am things about Bible.

Because of how the sister take treat am, the bad mind wey e get for Jehovah Witness people come dey change small small. So, John come ask the sister two question. E ask am whether Jesus na God, and whether Christian suppose pray to Mary. Because the sister sabi John language, e use am take answer im question from Bible. After, e come give am this book “This Good News of the Kingdom.”

Later, as John dey read the book, e come be like sey na im first time to hear about God. E come go ask im priest for church the two question wey e ask the sister. The priest vex, e stone John with Bible, come shout for am sey: ‘You don be Satan! Show me where Bible talk sey Jesus no be God. Show me where e sey make you no pray to Mary. Show me!’ Wetin the priest do surprise John. So John come tell am sey, ‘I no go ever enter any Catholic church again.’ And since that time, e no go again!

John come start to study Bible. Small small, e come dey do wetin e dey learn. E no tey, e come be Jehovah Witness. Small time, other people for im family come follow am dey serve Jehovah. E don pass 60 years wey John cut im hand, but the mark still dey till today. E dey always remember the good thing wey the sister do wey make am come worship Jehovah.​—2 Cor. 6:4, 6.
