Imibuzo Evela Kubafundi

Xa umpostile uYohane wathi “uthando olugqibeleleyo luluphosela phandle uloyiko,” wayethetha ukuthini ngokuthi “uthando olugqibeleleyo,” yaye luluphi olo “loyiko” oluphoselwa phandle?

Umpostile uYohane wabhala: “Akukho loyiko eluthandweni, kodwa uthando olugqibeleleyo luluphosela phandle uloyiko, kuba uloyiko luyangcungcuthekisa. Eneneni, lowo unoloyiko akagqibelelanga eluthandweni.”—1 Yohane 4:18.

Umongo ubonisa ukuba uYohane wayexubusha ngokuthetha ngokukhululekileyo—ngokukhethekileyo ngolwalamano phakathi kokuthanda uThixo nokuthetha ngokukhululekileyo Naye. Oku kunokubonwa koku sikufunda kwindinyana 17: “Le yindlela uthando oluye lwenziwa lwagqibelela ngayo kuthi, ukuze sibe nenkululeko yokuthetha ngemini yomgwebo.” Xa umKristu ethandaza kuThixo, indlela amthanda ngayo uThixo nothando uThixo analo ngaye kuyichaphazela ngokungqalileyo indlela athetha ngayo ngokukhululekileyo—okanye ngokungakhululeki—naye.

Ibinzana elithi “uthando olugqibeleleyo” lithetha okuthile. Ngendlela elisetyenziswe ngayo eBhayibhileni, igama elithi ‘ukugqibelela’ alidli ngokuthetha ukufezeka ngokupheleleyo, okuthetha ukuthi ngomlinganiselo opheleleyo, kodwa lidla ngokuthetha ukufezeka ngokomlinganiselo othile. Ngokomzekelo, kwiNtshumayelo yakhe yaseNtabeni, uYesu wathi: “Nimele nigqibelele, njengoko uYihlo osemazulwini egqibelele.” UYesu wayexelela abalandeli bakhe ukuba xa bethanda kuphela abo babathandayo, uthando lwabo aluyi kugqibelela, lunganeli, lube nesiphako. Uthando lwabo bafanele balwenze lugqibelele, okanye luphelele ngokuquka iintshaba zabo. Xa ethetha noThixo ngomthandazo, umKristu wazi mhlophe ukuba unesono yaye akafezekanga. Noko ke, uthando lwakhe ngoThixo nemvakalelo yokuba uThixo uyamthanda ezo zinto ziyakhula, yaye akoyiki kugwetywa okanye angaphulaphulwa. Kunoko, uthetha ngokukhululekileyo xa echaza oko kusentliziyweni aze acele uxolo ngesizinzi sedini lentlawulelo uThixo awalinikela ngothando esebenzisa uYesu Kristu. Ubani unokwenziwa njani ‘agqibelele eluthandweni’ aze ngaloo ndlela ‘aphose ngaphandle’ uloyiko lokugwetywa ngokungaphulaphulwa? Umpostile uYohane wathi: “Nabani na othi aligcine ilizwi lakhe [uThixo], eneneni uthando lukaThixo lwenziwe lwagqibelela kuloo mntu.” (1 Yohane 2:5) Khawucinge ngoku: Ukuba uThixo wasithanda ngoxa sasisengaboni, ngaba akayi kusithanda nakakhulu ukuba siyaguquka size ‘sigcine ilizwi lakhe’ ngokunyanisekileyo? (Roma 5:8; 1 Yohane 4:10) Eneneni, lo gama sihlala sithembekile, sinokuqiniseka ngendlela efanayo nompostile uPawulos xa wathi ngoThixo: “Yena lowo ungambandezanga uNyana wakhe kodwa wamnikela ngenxa yethu sonke, akayi kuthi na kaloku ngobubele asinike zonke ezinye izinto kwandawonye naye?”—Roma 8:32.
