Phakathi nokubusa kukaLouis XVI waseFrance, indlovukazi yakhe, uMarie Antoinette, kubikwa ukuthi yake yabuza ungqongqoshe wezimali wasebukhosini: “uzokwenzenjani ngesikweletu, Monsieur le Ministre?” impendulo yakhe yathi: “Lutho, Ndlovukazi. Sibi kakhulu.”

Igama elithi “ezomnotho” livela egameni lesiGreki elithi oikonomos, elisho umphathi wekhaya. Ezomnotho wezwe ngokuyisisekelo ziyisifundo sendlela “umuzi” womhlaba ophathwa ngayo. Uphathwa kanjani?
Ukuze sibonise lokhu, ake sicabange ngomhlaba njengomphakathi, nezizwe ngazinye njengomakhelwane. Omunye wawomakhelwane abacebe kakhulu kusegazini kuye ukusaphaza imali futhi ukweleta cishe wonke umuntu, kodwa njengekhasimende labo elingcono, labo abakweletwayo bamanqikanqika ukumbelesela ukuba abakhokhele. Othile Oyophatha Isimo Sezomnotho Sembulunga Yonke
Ukuphatha okuhle akunakuhlukaniswa nokuziphatha okuhle. UNkulunkulu waphatha indlu yakwaIsrayeli ngendlela yokuthi sonke isizwe sichume, uma nje sasilalela iziyalezo zakhe. Abameleli bakhe, njengenkosi uSolomoni, kwakudingeka ukuba balingise isibonelo sikaNkulunkulu. Ngokuphathelene noSolomoni, umhubi uyaloba: “Uyakuvikela abampofu kakhulu, uyakuvikela abantwana bosweleyo . . . Nokho, kamuva uNkulunkulu wabikezela eZwini lakhe ukuthi kwakuyokuba khona isimo esibucayi kakhulu sezindleko zokuphila. Lichaza amaqiniso ezomnotho abuhlungu ayeyohlupha isintu ekugcineni, iBhayibheli labikezela: “Isinkwa siyakubiza iholo losuku lonke.” (IsAmbulo 6:6, Weymouth, Uhlelo Lwesihlanu) Namuhla, lokhu ngokuqondile kuyisimo sabaningi abampofu abasemhlabeni. Yilokho kanye uNkulunkulu akucabangayo, indlela yokuhlakanipha ehilela umhlaba wonke. Ngokungefani nababusi bezwe babantu, uNkulunkulu unakho kokubili intando nendlela yokuletha ukusimama kwezomnotho kwezwe lonke.
Kulesosiprofetho esifanayo esikhuluma ngobunzima obungokwezomnotho, wabhekisela kumbusi ammisile, umbusi onekhambi lalesimo. Uchazwa njengohlezi phezu kwehhashi “elimhlophe” ‘nanjengoyophumela ukunqoba.’ Akekho omunye ngaphandle kukaJesu Kristu, ‘ozonqoba’ ngokushesha ukuze enabisele ukubusa koMbuso kaNkulunkulu kube ukuphela kukahulumeni wesintu. Ngaphansi kokubusa kwaloMbuso, isiprofetho sikaIsaya esibhekisela kuwo ‘njengezulu elisha’ uNkulunkulu uyathembisa: “Abayikushikashikeka ezeni, noma bakhulisele abantwana izinhlupheko.” “Izinceku zami ziyakudla . . . ; izinceku zami ziyakuphuza . . . ; izinceku zami ziyakuthokoza.”—Isaya 65:13, 14, 17, 23, The New English Bible.
Izigidi namuhla ezishikashikela ize zingathola isibindi kulamazwi. Ezweni elisha likaNkulunkulu, izingane zabo aziyikuncishwa izidingo eziyisisekelo ngenxa yeshwa elibangelwa ubunzima obungokomnotho. Ukukhathazeka ngezindleko zokuphila kuyothathelwa indawo ukweneliseka okukhulu enjabulweni yokuphila.
Uma unomuzwa wokuthi izithembiso ezinjalo zimane nje ziyiphupho elingenakwenzeka, kungani ungakhulumi noFakazi bakaJehova esikhathini esizayo uma bekuhambele. Bayokujabulela ukukubonisa ngemibhalo ukuthi kungani singathembela ekhambini likaNkulunkulu lalesimo esibucayi sezindleko zokuphila.
