Ingabe Ubunye BobuKristu Bungenzeka?

ELOBUKHOLWA liyindlu ehlukene phakathi. Amalungu alo alinganiselwa kubantu abayizigidi ezingu-1 500 ahlukene aba amaRoma Katolika, amaOrthodox aseMpumalanga, amaProtestani, namanye amasonto namahlelo azisholo ukuthi angamaKristu. Abantu abaningi abaqotho bayazibuza ukuthi kazi buyoke bufinyelelwe yini ubunye bobuKristu.

Ibonisa ukwenyanya ukwehlukana kwenkolo, incwadi yoMkhandlu Wesibili WaseVatican yaphawula: “Bonke bazisholo ukuthi bangabafundi beNkosi, kodwa izinkolelo zabo ziyashayisana nezindlela zabo ziyahluka, njengokungathi uKristu ngokwakhe uhlukene (cf. 1 Kor. 1:​13). Ngokungangabazeki, lokhu kungavumelani kuphikisana ngokusobala nentando kaKristu, kuletha isikhubekiso ezweni, futhi kubangela ukulimala enjongweni engcwele kakhulu yokumemezela izindaba ezinhle kuzo zonke izidalwa.”

ISonto LamaKatolika Nobunye

ISonto lamaKatolika, elimalungu alo ayingxenye yengqikithi ephelele yamalungu eLobukholwa, linomqondo walo wobunye bobuKristu. “Izinhlangano zomkhuleko” ezihlukahlukene zamiswa ngasekupheleni kwekhulu leminyaka. Ngo-1908, esinyathelweni sokuqala esathathwa umpristi waseWeseli owaguquka waba umKatolika, isonto lonke lomthandazo lamaKatolika laminyaka yonke (January 18-25) lahlelwa “ukuze kuguqulwe futhi kubuyiswe abazalwane abahlukene.” Kamuva lokhu kwaba iSonto Lonke Lokuthandazela Ubunye BobuKristu, lelo iWCC (World Council of Churches [uMkhandlu Wezwe WamaSonto]) eye yazimbandakanya nalo kusukela ngasekuqaleni kwawo-1950.

Owangena esikhundleni sikaPapa John, uPaul VI, wamemezela uMthetho-sisekelo waseVatican II Wezimfundiso ZeSonto, othi: “Leli iSonto likaKristu elikhethekile lelo eSivumweni Sokholo esithi ngalo limunye, lingcwele, lingelendawo yonke, futhi elabaphostoli. . . . LeliSonto, elakhiwa futhi lahlelwa njengenhlangano ezweni lamanje, lisalokhu liyiSonto lamaKatolika, elilawulwa owangena esikhundleni sikaPetru nangababhishobhi abahlangene naye.”

Ngakho umbono weSonto lamaKatolika ngobunye bobuKristu ngokuyisisekelo awuzange ushintshe. Ngokomphumela, umbono owavezwa eVatican II, noma iziphi izinto ezinhle ezenzeka ngaphandle kweSonto lamaKatolika zingezalo ngempela futhi ngaleyondlela, njengoba uMthetho-sisekelo Wezimfundiso ZeSonto usho, “zingamandla aqhubezela ebunyeni bamaKatolika.”

Liyakufanelekela Ukuthuthukisa Ubunye?

Yini engashiwo ngokuzisholo okuphindaphindwa njalo kweSonto lamaKatolika kokuba “elimunye, elingcwele, elendawo yonke, nokuba elabaphostoli”? Okokuqala, uqhekeko lwamuva nje lwamaKatolika asadla ngoludala ngaphansi kokuhola koMbhishobhi Omkhulu uLefebvre, kungasaphathwa ukuhlubuka okusobala kwamakhulu abefundisi bamaKatolika, kubonisa amanga okusho kwesonto ukuthi “limunye.”a

Okwesibili, umbhalo ogciniwe weSonto lamaKatolika, nenzondo yalo ngamaJuda, ukuhlupha kwalo “izihlubuki,” ukusekela kwalo “izimpi ezingcwele,” kanye nokuhlanganyela kwalo kwezombangazwe nasemahlazweni angcolile ezezimali, kwembula ukuthi likude kakhulu nokuba “ngcwele.”

Okwesithathu, iSonto laseRoma alisoze lakufakazela ukuzisholo kwalo ukuthi “lingelendawo yonke” noma “lingelembulunga yonke,” njengoba lakhiwa kuphela ingxenye yalabo abazisholo ukuba ngamaKristu, noma cishe amaphesenti angu-15 ezakhamuzi zomhlaba.

Okokugcina, amaqiniso angokomlando, umbhalo ogciniwe wokubusa kopapa, nokuceba, ukuziphatha okubi, ukuzihilela kwezombangazwe kwabaholi abaningi bamaKatolika, akukho kulokhu okungafakazela ukuzisholo kwesonto ukuthi “lingelabaphostoli.” Ngokusobala, iSonto lamaKatolika alikho neze esimweni sokuzisholo ukuthi lingamandla ahlanganisayo obunye beqiniso bobuKristu.

UMkhandlu Wezwe Nobunye

UMkhandlu Wezwe WamaSonto uhlanganisa amasonto amaProtestani nawobuOrthodox baseMpumalanga angaphezu kuka-300 anamalungu angaphezu kwezigidi ezingu-400 emazweni angaphezu kwekhulu. Injongo yalomkhandlu “iwukumemezela ubunye obudingekile beSonto likaKristu nokugcina isibopho sokubonakalisa lobobunye nokuphuthuma komsebenzi wobuvangeli kuvelele phambi kwamasonto.” Nokho, ingabe iWCC inikeza elinye ithemba elengeziwe lobunye beqiniso bobuKristu kuneSonto lamaRoma Katolika?

IWCC inethemba lokuhlanganisa amaKristu ngaphezu kwasiphi isisekelo? Enye iencyclopedia ithi: “UMkhandlu Wezwe WamaSonto. . . . Ngo-1948 isisekelo sokuqala sokuba ilungu leWCC amanye amasonto asibheka njengesingamsekeli ngokwanele uZiqu-zintathu. Ngakho ngo-1961 isisekelo sokuba yilungu salungiswa ukuze sifundeke ngalendlela: “UMkhandlu Wezwe WamaSonto uwubuzalwane bamasonto avuma iNkosi uJesu Kristu njengoNkulunkulu noMsindisi ngokwemiBhalo futhi ngaleyondlela afuna ukufeza ndawonye ubizo lwawo olufanayo kube udumo kuNkulunkulu oyedwa, uYise, iNdodana noMoya Ongcwele.”​—⁠Omalukeke sizenzele.

Sona kanye lesosisekelo sokuba ilungu leWCC siyaziphikisa ngamazwi. Ngani? Ngenxa yokuthi ukukholelwa “kuNkulunkulu oyedwa, uYise, iNdodana noMoya Ongcwele” akukho “ngokwemiBhalo.” IEncyclopedia of Religion ithi: “Abefundisi namuhla bayavumelana nokuthi iBhayibheli lesiHeberu alinayo imfundiso kaZiqu-zintathu.” Futhi, iNew International Dictionary of New Testament Theology iyachaza: “UbuKristu basendulo babungenayo imfundiso ecacile kaZiqu-zintathu.” Futhi iNew Encyclopœdia Britannica ithi: “Igama elithi Ziqu-zintathu noma imfundiso eqondile evela eTestamenteni Elisha, futhi uJesu nabalandeli bakhe abazange bafune ukuphikisa iShema [isivumo sokholo samaJuda] eTestamenteni Elidala: ‘Yizwa Israyeli: INkosi uNkulunkulu wethu uyiNkosi eyodwa’ (Dut. 6:⁠4).”

Ngokuthakazelisayo, iEncyclopœdia Universalis (1989) yaseFrance iphawula ukuthi injongo yobumbano lwamasonto lomhlaba wonke “ukubuyisela ubunye obuphelele nobubonakalayo emkhayeni wamaKristu ohlukene, ngokuvumelana nezimfundiso zikaJesu. . . . Bebona indlela amaKristu athandana ngayo, abangemaKristu kumelwe bashukunyiselwe ekubeni nokholo futhi bazihlanganise neSonto, bebonisa izwe elisha lapho inkonzo, ukulunga, nokuthula kuyoba izimiso ezilawulayo, njengoba kwabikezelwa futhi kwaboniswa uKristu. . . . Kuyaphawuleka ukuthi . . . iNcwadi eyayiya kumaHeberu (II, 5) kumelwe ikhulume nge‘oi·kou·meʹne [umhlaba owakhiwe] ezayo,’ ngaleyondlela igcizelela ukuthi ithemba lamaKristu alilona elezwe elingokomoya elingelona elenyama, kodwa lingelalelizwe elakhiwe [umhlaba] obuyisene noMdali wawo.”

Amalungu amaningi ngokwengeziwe amasonto eLobukholwa ayaqala ukuqaphela ukuthi izimfundiso zesonto lawo azivumelani nezimfundiso zikaJesu. Ngokudabuka ayaqaphela ukuthi amalungu enkolo yawo awathandani. Nokho, amaningi awo aye athola umkhaya wamaKristu onobunye ngokuphelele, futhi ayaqaphela indlela othandana ngayo ngempela. Yebo, aye athola ubunye bangempela bobuKristu nethemba phakathi komkhaya womhlaba wonke woFakazi BakaJehova.
