Intsha Iyabuza . . .

IMIJONDOLO yaseNingizimu Afrika uGeorge akhulela kuyo ayimletheli izinkumbulo ezijabulisayo. “Sasihlala emkhukhwini woqobo—indlwana kathayela enamakamelo amabili,” ekhumbula. Wayehlanganyela elilodwa lalamakamelo nabafowabo nodadewabo abayisishiyagalombili. Phakathi nezinyanga zasebusika, wayeqinisela emoyeni wasebusika ukuze ayokukha amanzi kumpompi owodwa owawunikeza wonke umphakathi amanzi. “Kodwa engangikuzonda kakhulu ngokukhula simpofu,” kusho uGeorge, “kwakuwukubona ubaba esebenza kanzima ukuze nje asigcine siphila. Ngangicasuka ngokuthi kwakubonakala sengathi alikho ikhambi lalenkinga.”

Kodwa lentsha izizwa kanjani lapho ingqondo ibuya nokudungeka sekuphelile? UJill Swart wafakazela ukuthi kuba nezimpawu ‘ezinjengokucindezeleka okukhulu,’ “ukuba isififane,” “ukushintsha ngokushesha kwemizwelo,” “ukungaboni kahle,” kanye nezinye izifo ezingokomzimba ezingenakuchazwa neze “njengokubalekela” ubumpofu okunempilo.

INkosi ehlakaniphile uSolomoni yathi: “Ngokuba inseli [isidakwa, NW] . . . [i]yakuba-mpofu; ukozela kuyakwembathisa umuntu amanikiniki.” (IzAga 23:21) Ukuzama komuntu ukuvala amaqiniso obumpofu ngokushintsha isimo sakhe sengqondo ngotshwala, inhlaka, noma izidakwamizwa ngeke kuyiqede inkinga. (Qhathanisa nezAga 31:7.) Njengoba uMaria, intombazane eneminyaka engu-16 ubudala evela emkhayeni ompofu onomzali oyedwa eNingizimu Afrika, aphawula: “Ukuzama ukubalekela iqiniso kudala izinkinga eziningi kunalezo okuzixazululayo.” Ngaphandle kwalokho, izindleko eziphakeme zokuqhubeka nemikhuba enjalo ebulalayo ziholela umuntu ngokujulile ebumpofwini. Osemusha ompofu angaba nethemba lokubhekana nalesimo kuphela lapho ebhekana ngokuqondile nesimo sakhe.

Intukuthelo Nokukhungatheka

Ithukuthele ngokubambeka ogibeni lwendawo ezungezile empofu, intsha eningi ibonakalisa ulaka lwayo ngobudlova, ukucekela phansi, ukweba, nangezinye izinhlobo zobuhlongandlebe bentsha. Mhlawumbe imiphumela elimaza kakhulu engashiywa ubumpofu kosemusha imizwa ehlala isikhathi eside yokuzizwa engabalulekile futhi ezinyeza. Ngabaningi, izinga eliphakeme lobumpofu kuzo zonke izici zokuphila liye laqeda noma yiliphi ithemba lokuthuthukisa izinga labo lokuphila. IWorld Book Encyclopedia ithi abantu abasebasha kaningi “baba nemizwa efanayo yokungabi nalusizo neyokungabi nathemba leyo abazali babo abaye bayihlakulela.” Ekugcineni, isimo sobumpofu singaba ngesihlala njalo, izisulu zaso zizinikele ekuhluphekeni kukho konke ukuphila kwazo.

Kodwa ingabe ukuzinikela emizweni yokungabi nalusizo nokungabi nathemba kuyosithuthukisa isimo sakho? Cha! Kunalokho, ukwenza kanjalo kumane nje kuqhubekisele phambili iketango lezinkinga ezikhulayo zobumpofu. Njengoba isaga sasendulo sikubeka: “Oqaphela umoya akayikuhlwanyela; obheka amafu kayikuvuna.” (UmShumayeli 11:4) Ukuba umlimi ubegxila kuphela ezintweni eziphambene ezingenzeka—umoya ongase uphephule imbewu yakhe noma imvula engase yonakalise izitshalo zakhe—ubeyohluleka ukuthatha isinyathelo esidingekile. Ngakho-ke iNkosi uSolomoni yaqhubeka inikeza leseluleko: “Hlwanyela imbewu yakho kusasa, ungaphumuzi isandla sakho nakusihlwa, ngokuba awazi ukuthi yiyiphi eyakuphumelela.” (UmShumayeli 11:6) Yebo, kunokubanjwa ukwesaba ukuba yisehluleki noma umuzwa wokuthi izinto ziqeda ithemba, thatha isinyathelo! Kunezinto ongazenza ukuze zikusize ukuba kancane kancane uhlakulele imizwa eqondile esikhundleni saleyo engaqondile.

Ukwakha Ukuzihlonipha

Cabangela uJames oneminyaka engu-11 ubudala. Uhlala nonina nodadewabo emjondolo eduze naseGoli, eNingizimu Afrika. Ngokwezinto ezibonakalayo, cishe abanalutho. Impelasonto ngayinye uJames unikela ngokuzithandela ngezinkonzo zakhe ukuze asize ekwakhiweni kweHholo LoMbuso lendawo loFakazi BakaJehova. Lokhu akuthathi nje kuphela isikhathi obekungathi ngaphandle kwalokho sihambe kancane kodwa futhi kumnikeza umuzwa wokufeza okuthile. Omunye umsebenzi okhiqizayo umsebenzi wokufundisa iBhayibheli endlini ngendlu. (Mathewu 24:14) OFakazi BakaJehova abaningi abasebasha bahlanganyela njalo kulowomsebenzi. Ngokwenza kanjalo abanikezi nje kuphela abanye ithemba lokuphila okungcono esikhathini esizayo kodwa bandisa imizwa yabo siqu yokuzihlonipha, ukuzizwa bedingekile, nesizotha. Kuyiqiniso, umuntu akazuzi mali ngokwenza umsebenzi onjalo. Kodwa khumbula isigijimi uJesu asinikeza amaKristu ebandleni lasendulo eSmirna. Babempofu ngempela ngokwezinto ezibonakalayo, kodwa ngenxa yengokomoya labo elijulile, uJesu wayengathi kubo: “Ngiyakwazi ukuhlupheka kwakho nobumpofu bakho—kanti ucebile.” Ekugcineni, ngenxa yokubonisa kwabo ngenkuthalo ukholo egazini likaJesu elathululwa, bayoba ngabacebe kakhulu, bemukela umqhele wokuphila okuphakade.—IsAmbulo 2:9, 10.

Ukukhula umpofu akulula. Nokho, asikho isizathu sokuzizwa unamahloni, ungenalusizo, noma ungenathemba ngesimo sakho. Ubumpofu bukhona ngenxa yokuthi “lapho umuntu ebusa omunye [kuba]-ngukulimala kwakhe.” (UmShumayeli 8:9) Ubufakazi bubonisa ukuthi ngokushesha uNkulunkulu uzophatha izindaba zomhlaba futhi aqede ubumpofu kanye nemiphumela yabo eyonakalisayo. (IHubo 37:9-11) INdodana yakhe, uKristu Jesu, iyongenisa izigidigidi zesintu ePharadesi lasemhlabeni, njengoba athembisa isoni esilahliwe esabonisa ukholo kuye njengoba babefa ezigxotsheni ababebulawelwa kuzo. (Luka 23:43) Nokho, okwamanje, kuningi ongakwenza ngendlela ewusizo ukuze ubhekane nobumpofu. Lokhu kuyoxoxwa ngakho kumagazini wesikhathi esizayo.

“Ngazizwa Ngibhajwe Ogibeni Lobumpofu”

UGeorge wayengomusha waseAfrika owayefuna ngobuqotho ukuhlala esikoleni futhi aqede imfundo yakhe eyisisekelo. Wacabanga ukuthi ngokwenza kanjalo wayengathola umsebenzi oholela kahle owawuyokhipha yena nomkhaya wakubo ebumpofwini. Nokho, izinto azihambanga ngaleyondlela. Umkhaya wakubo waba nobunzima obukhulu ngokwezimali kangangokuthi ngemva nje kweminyaka eyisithupha esesikoleni, uGeorge wazizwa ebophekile ukuba ashiye isikole futhi athole umsebenzi. Ekugcineni wathola umsebenzi kwenye imboni epakisha amabhodlela emabhokisini, ehola amaRandi angu-14 kuphela ngesonto. Wonke umholo wakhe wawusetshenziselwa ukunakekela umkhaya wakubo.

“Nakuba ngazizwa ngibhajwe ogibeni lobumpofu,” kusho uGeorge, “ngaqaphela ukuthi ukuzihlanganisa neqembu noma ukweba ukuze ngiziphilise kwakungenakusiza nakancane. Namuhla, abaningi bontanga yami ababenza lezozinto bayizehluleki ezingenathemba, izigqila zophuzo nezidakamizwa, noma basejele. Abanye babulawa nokubulawa ngenxa yendlela yabo yokuphila.”

Khona-ke uGeorge wahlangana noFakazi BakaJehova. “Enye yezinto zokuqala engaziphawula,” kusho uGeorge, “kwakuwukuthi emihlanganweni yobuKristu, bonke babeza futhi bakhulume nami ngenhlonipho.” Uyanezela: “Kancane kancane ngazuza ukuzethemba nokuzihlonipha engangikuntula ngaphambili.” UGeorge wathola futhi induduzo enkulu emibhalweni yeBhayibheli njengeHubo 72:12, 13, elithi: “Ngokuba [iNkosi yobuMesiya] iyakukhulula ompofu ozikhalela kuyo . . . Iyakuhawukela odangeleyo nompofu; iyakusindisa imiphefumulo yabampofu.” Izithembiso zeBhayibheli zamgcwalisa ngesithakazelo esivuselelwe nethemba ekuphileni.
