◼ Ingabe umKristu kufanele aligweme ikhofi netiye ngoba kuqukethe isidakamizwa esiluthayo icaffeine?

IBhayibheli alikhulumi ngekhofi noma ngetiye. Kodwa lokho elikushoyo kungamsiza umKristu ukuba anqume ukuthi angaliphuza yini ikhofi noma itiye.

Isidakamizwa icaffeine singayithinta ingqondo nomzimba. Nsukuzonke kuphuzwa izigidi zezinkomishi zekhofi nezetiye, okubangela ukuba uDkt. Melvin Konner athi: “Eqinisweni kungenzeka ukuthi [icaffeine] iyisidakamizwa esithinta ingqondo esisetshenziswa kakhulu kunazo zonke emhlabeni.” Ingakhuphula izinga lokuphaphama, ikhuphule izinga lomuntu leadrenaline, futhi ikhuphule ijubane lokugeleza kwegazi nelokwakheka kwezicubu zomzimba. IBhayibheli liyavuma ukuthi iwayini (noma ezinye iziphuzo ezine-alkhoholi) ‘lingenza inhliziyo yomuntu ijabule’ noma lishintshe isimo somphefumulo ocindezelekile. (IHubo 104:15; IzAga 31:6, 7) Nokho, iZwi likaNkulunkulu alibonisi ukuthi abakhulekeli beqiniso kumelwe bazigweme zonke iziphuzo ezine-alkhoholi. Nokho, kuthiwani ngalokho okushiwoyo ukuthi umuntu angaba umhuqa wecaffeine? Abaningi abaphuza ikhofi, itiye, noma imaté njengomkhuba baba nezinga elithile lokwethembela kukho, nakuba kuphikiswana ngokuthi lokhu kuwukulutheka kwangempela ngokwencazelo yabezokwelapha. Okungenani bezwa izimpawu zokuqaleka, njengekhanda noma ukucanuzelelwa inhliziyo, uma bengasitholanga isilinganiso esivamile secaffeine. Nalapha futhi, khumbula umbono weBhayibheli ngotshwala. Nakuba abantu abaningi beye baba imilutha yotshwala, abunqatshelwe kumaKristu uma buphuzwa ngokulinganisela. Noma kunjalo, umKristu angase abe nomuzwa wokuthi angakhetha ukuba angazifaki engozini yokuthembela kuyicaffeine. Uma ukungasitholi kwakhe isilinganiso esithile secaffeine kumenza acasuke ngokushesha (abe nalokho okuthiwa ‘amacoffee nerve’), angase acabangele ukuliyeka ikhofi njengokubonisa ‘ukuzithiba.’ (Galathiya 5:22, 23) Njengoba iBhayibheli lingakhulumi ngokuyeka iziphuzo ezinecaffeine, isinqumo ngekhofi noma ngetiye kumelwe senziwe umuntu ngamunye. Ukulinganisela kufanelekile uma umKristu ephuza noma ikuphi kwalokhu.—Qhathanisa noThithu 2:2.

Ukulinganisela kubalulekile futhi endabeni yezingozi zempilo ezingaba khona. Kunezingozi eziningi okuthiwa ziba khona ekuphuzeni njalo izilinganiso ezinkulu zecaffeine (kungaba sekhofini, etiyeni, eziphuzweni zecola, noma kwezinye iziphuzo noma ukudla). Nokho, ngokuhlola ngakunye okuhlobanisa icaffeine nengozi ethile yempilo, okunye kubonakala kubonisa okuphambene.

Ukuba nengqondo kokulinganisela kugcizelelwa yilokho iBhayibheli elikushoyo ngoju lwezinyosi. Abanye bangase bagweme lezinto ngokuzithandela noma ngenxa yomuzwa owandile wabantu kuleyondawo ngazo, bengafuni ukukhubekisa muntu. Lokhu kusikhumbuza amazwi omphostoli uPawulu: “Uma ukudla kumkhubekisa umzalwane wami, angisoze ngadla-nyama kuze kube-phakade, ukuze ngingamkhubekisi umzalwane wami.”—1 Korinte 8:13.

Ngakho-ke, yilowo nalowo makenze ngokwesinqumo sakhe siqu angabi nomuzwa wokuthi isinqumo sakhe kudingeka siphoqelelwe kwabanye. UPawulu wabhala: “Odlayo angamdeleli ongadliyo, ongadliyo angamahluleli odlayo, ngokuba uNkulunkulu umamukele. Ungubani wena owahlulela inceku yomunye na?”—Roma 14:3, 4.
